Diving Into The Wreck
An 8-day creative writing retreat with best-selling author Emma Copley Eisenberg. This experience is designed to help you jumpstart the fiction writing practice you truly want. Perhaps you have an idea for a novel or story collection but don’t know where to start; perhaps you can write the "bones" of characters but can’t add the "flesh"; perhaps you’ve been writing journalism, cultural criticism, or working in academia and want to leap to fiction; or perhaps you’re contending with deeply held blocks about whether you are "worthy" or "talented" enough to commit to a project.
Author Emma Copley Eisenberg has stood at these junctures and has worked with dozens of editorial clients asking, "How do I trust my ideas or know which are worth pursuing? How much do I need to know before I begin? Do I need an outline? Why don’t readers feel invested in my characters?" Through lectures, discussions, and in-depth assignments, participants will be ready to dive in and make substantial progress on a new fiction project.
