Traditional Mexican Feast, benefit

Experience a Traditional Mexican feast right here in SMA

Las Rancheritas are a group of 16 talented women from the village of Agustin Gonzales 20 minutes from San Miguel. They are well known for their exquisite hooked rugs. You can find them for sale at Mercado Sano and various other art shows in town. They are also noted for the Rancho Tour which occurs each Thursday. Included in this tour is traditional Mexican comida that people rave about. They are fabulous cooks.

However, once a year they invite the public to a traditional Mexican feast which is a “must do” experience. This is usually held at their village, which is great fun, but his year they are going to have the meal at Casa de la Noche right here in San Miguel.

Just a few of the sumptuous dishes: Chili rellenos, papas con queso, nopalitos salad, carne guisada, homemade fire cooked tortillas, three different salsas and much much more. Everything is made under strict sanitary conditions and most dishes are vegetarian. You will not experience this meal in any other place. Some say it’s the best food they have eaten in Mexico!

In addition to the delicious food will be an opportunity to view and purchase the “one of a kind” folk art hooked rugs of Las Ranchertas. Plus you will be able to meet the artisans.

Should you be unable to attend or want a more in depth “rancho” experience check the Atencion for the Rancho Tour held every week. Or contact us at the info below.

This event tends to sells out so get your tickets soon. All proceeds benefit the women’s Las Rancheritas Cooperative.

Tickets on sale starting today at Boleto city box office at Mercado Sano, Ancha de San Antonio 123, second floor. We will also sell tickets at the door.
