Ribbon Cutting Ceremony – Norby-Annino Learning & Community Center
The Little Things Matter Foundation is proud to announce the official ribbon cutting of the Norby-Annino Learning & Community Center on November 21st from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm in San Miguel de Allende. This long-awaited milestone marks the opening of a space dedicated to education, well-being, and community connection for children and families.

The center is named in honor of Elsmarie Norby, founder of Ojalá Niños, and Barry Annino, founder of the Little Things Matter Foundation. Both visionaries, now deceased, shared a deep commitment to creating opportunities for children through education, creativity, and community support.
Their friendship became the foundation for this project. Inspired by Elsmarie’s tireless dedication to the children of San Miguel and Barry’s desire to support her mission, the two imagined a center that would provide a safe, vibrant space for children to learn, grow, and belong. Today, that vision becomes a reality.
“This center stands as a living tribute to Elsmarie and Barry’s shared dream,” said Debora Annino, Co-Founder of the Little Things Matter Foundation and President of the Ojalá Niños Board of Directors. “It is a place where their legacy will continue to inspire future generations, fostering learning, creativity, and hope.”
The Norby-Annino Learning & Community Center will serve as the hub of the Foundation’s programs, offering educational enrichment, family resources, and community-building opportunities. It reflects the belief that little things matter—that small acts of support and connection can lead to life-changing impact.
Guests will enjoy local culinary botañas, a champagne toast, and live music by Grupo Kimbala as part of the celebration.
The Little Things Matter Foundation extends heartfelt gratitude to the many supporters, partners, and friends who made this dream possible.

La Fundación Little Things Matter se enorgullece de anunciar la inauguración oficial del Centro de Aprendizaje y Comunidad Norby-Annino el 21 de Noviembre en San Miguel de Allende. Este esperado acontecimiento marca la apertura de un espacio dedicado a la educación, el bienestar y la conexión comunitaria para niños y familias.
El centro lleva el nombre de Elsmarie Norby, fundadora de Ojalá Niños, y Barry Annino, fundador de la Fundación Little Things Matter, en honor a ellos. Ambos visionarios compartieron un profundo compromiso con la creación de oportunidades para los niños a través de la educación, la creatividad y el apoyo comunitario.
Su amistad se convirtió en la base de este proyecto. Inspirados por la incansable dedicación de Elsmarie a los niños de San Miguel y el deseo de Barry de apoyar su misión, ambos imaginaron un centro que brindara un espacio seguro y dinámico donde los niños pudieran aprender, crecer y sentirse parte de la comunidad.
"Este centro es un homenaje a la amistad, la colaboración y la misión compartida de Elsmarie y Barry: marcar la diferencia en la vida de los niños de esta comunidad", declaró Debora Annino, presidenta de la Fundación Little Things Matter. "Es un lugar donde su legado seguirá inspirando a las generaciones futuras, fomentando el aprendizaje, la creatividad y la esperanza".
El Centro de Aprendizaje y Comunidad Norby-Annino será el centro de los programas de la Fundación, ofreciendo enriquecimiento educativo, recursos familiares y oportunidades para el desarrollo comunitario. Refleja la convicción de que las pequeñas cosas importan: que los pequeños gestos de apoyo y conexión pueden tener un impacto transformador.
La junta directiva de la Fundación Little Things Matter y el personal de Ojalá Niños expresan su sincera gratitud a los numerosos colaboradores, socios y amigos que hicieron posible este sueño.
