Experience the Cervantino International Festival from the Teatro Santa Ana in La Biblioteca. Enjoy the broadcast of the South Korean dance performance “Jajack Movement – Samsara of Blossom.”
This performance captures the profound essence of Korean philosophy from the Joseon Dynasty and the delicate aesthetics of artificial flowers, centered on the theme of reincarnation. The plum blossom, a symbol of maternal love, represents a powerful life force. For centuries, this flower was cherished in the royal court of Joseon, where artisans crafted the exquisite Yun-hwae-mae — plum blossoms made from beeswax.
Inspired by the story of Tam-Mae-Do, which tells of philosopher Kim Si-seup’s search for the first plum blossom to bloom in winter, Samsara of Blossom weaves together Korean philosophy and the refined artistic traditions of the Joseon royal court.

Este espectáculo captura la esencia profunda de la filosofía coreana de la Dinastía Joseon y la estética de las flores artificiales, centrado en el tema de la reencarnación. La flor del ciruelo, símbolo del amor materno, representa una fuerza vital poderosa. Durante siglos, esta flor fue apreciada en la corte real de Joseon, donde artesanos creaban las delicadas Yun-hwae-mae: flores de ciruelo hechas de cera de abejas.
Inspirado en la historia de Tam-Mae-Do, que relata la búsqueda del filósofo Kim Si-seup por la primera flor de ciruelo que floreció en el invierno, Samsara of Blossom fusiona la filosofía coreana con las refinadas tradiciones de la corte real de Joseon.
