H+ Hospital Cardiac Team - talk

H+Hospital San Miguel Allende now has an on staff a

multidisciplinary Cardiac Team. The team consist of

four board Certified Cardiac Physicians and an Intensive

Care Physician. This team is available 24 hours a day

and 7 days a week. H+Hospital has also put in place

a heart room for procedures using state of the new art

equipment. H+Hospital has worked with Cruz Rojo and

outfitted and ambulance with cardiac equipment and

cardiac trained medics. This ambulance is in constant

contact with the physician by cell phone that send EKG

tracings to the doctor who can give treatment orders.

Starting treatment early means decreased injury to the

heart muscle and dramatically increasing the survival rate.

The H+Hospital cardiac team recently performed for the first

time ever in San Miguel a stent procedure to open coronary

artery blockage and prevent a heart attack.

The cardiac team can also perform many other life-saving

procedures including cardiac catheterization, repair of

abdominal aneurysms open and closed, aortic valve

replacement through the radial artery, echocardiogram and

pacemakers to name a few.
