Every person has a thousand stories to tell. When you think about it, our identities are simply the sum of the stories we remember. No topics are off the table, but please consider our audience's sensibilities. It's never what story you tell, but how you tell it that makes the difference. If you narrowly escaped death while climbing a mountain, we want to hear about it. But absolutely ordinary can also be very entertaining--look at the many successful seasons of Seinfeld, where episodes dwelt on things like the loss of a dry cleaning ticket.
