Healing from the Unconscious, 3-day conference

"What do they have in common: A Tibetan monk — a traumatologist — an astrologer — a family constellation therapist — a Jungian analyst — a dreamwalker — a clinical researcher?" All of the above concern themselves with the techniques of healing from the unconscious.

From Friday, December 6, to Sunday, December 8, the international three-day congress known as Sanando desde el Inconsciente – "Healing from the Unconscious" – will be held at the Hotel Real de Minas, Ancha de San Antonio 1. This bilingual congress will include workshops and conferences, some in English, some in Spanish, all with simultaneous translation from one language to the other, presented by experts with training from the United States, Canada, Spain, Germany, and Mexico. The congress will also feature the Mexican premiere of the acclaimed French film Art & Mind (with English and Spanish subtitles), musical entertainment, and a closing day raffle.

The experts at this year's conference include:

Anngwyn St. Just, social traumatologist, Ph.D. in advanced studies from the Western Institute for Social Research and the University of California at Berkeley. She is a cultural historian, psychotherapist, author, and somatic educator who has traveled extensively in North and South America, Europe, Russia, and Australia, teaching novel ways to heal individual, family, and collective trauma. She will be giving one workshop and one conference in the hotel's grand salon, on Friday and Saturday, respectively, in English with simultaneous translation in Spanish.

Don Lauro de la Cruz, authority on Mayan and Tibetan exercises to connect with the power of the unconscious, based at El Mirador Ecological Reserve in San Cristóbal de las Casas (a space known as "the Mountain"). His two-hour session will take place in the jardin of the hotel on Sunday, in Spanish with simultaneous translation in English.

David Eric Pressault, a Jungian analyst from Canada with a background in the arts. His two-and-a-half-hour healing through dance and movement workshop will take place in the hotel's executive lounge on Friday and Saturday, in English with simultaneous translation in Spanish.

Other experts presenting conferences or workshops in Spanish with English translation are family constellation therapist Marco Navarro; dreamwalker Aberdeem; astrologer Hector Jimenez; and neuropsychologist Jannet Ruiz.
