Children’s Springtime Parade

A treat awaits everyone in El Centro on Wed, Mar. 20th., around 10:15am, as the Primavera Parade will usher in spring. (Let us see if the City Fathers follow this custom.)

However, for us in San Miguel, this is like the start of the summer hot weather and not a spring flower will be seen until a few weeks after the first rains, whenever they come!

The parade is special as all the little children dress up as flowers, bees, butterflies, animals, and are as cute as buttons. You can totally miss this by half an hour. The time and route may well be announced over the radio a day before. In the past, they have always ended up in the Jardin.
