Photo Expo for the Jaguar - opening

This coming Friday November 16th, Panthera Mexico and Galeria Casa Diana invite you the inauguration of La Jaguarada festival in its debut in San Miguel de Allende, this event is part of the wider Mes del Jaguar international festival.

La Jaguarada will open with the traditional procession “callejoneada” starting in the main square (El Jardin) of San Miguel de Allende at 6 pm. The Callejoneada led by giant mojiganga jaguars will take you to the doorstep of Galeria Casa Diana on Recreo 48 for the photography exhibition titled Por los Jaguares.

A collection of images by renowned conservation photographers Veronica Domit, Fernando Martinez Belmar and Santiago Gibert Ibsen and Carlos Navarro will be on display, all showcasing the beauty of the jaguar in its natural habitat.

The photography exhibition hosted by the art gallery will itself commence at 6 pm with complimentary canapés and drinks sponsored by Mezcal Creyente from Casa Cuervo.

The Mes del Jaguar festival, organized by Panthera México seeks to celebrate, educate, and promote Jaguar Culture in all its artistic forms. Panthera Mexico is part of a world-wide NGO dedicated to protect critical areas for jaguars across fourteen countries in Latin America, from Mexico to Argentina. Panthera´s Jaguar Corridor Initiative is the only project of its kind that seeks to link and secure jaguar habitats through biological corridors across the continent whilst working with local communities, governments and academic institutions. Protecting this endangered species and its habitat plays a vital part in the conservation of our planet, its natural resources, and the environment that we humans share with a wide host of other living beings.

Come and join us, discover the beauty of this feline, support us with your presence and help us rescue Mexico's Jaguars! All proceeds from the events will go towards helping Panthera Mexico and its mission.

Este próximo Viernes, 16 de Noviembre Panthera y Galería Casa Diana te invitan a la inauguración de la Jaguarada, festival que llega a San Miguel de Allende por primera vez dentro del marco del Mes del Jaguar. La inauguración comenzara una callejoneada san miguelense con mojigangas de jaguares que iniciara en el jardín principal a las 6 pm y finalizara en la puerta de entrada de la Galería Casa Diana, Calle Recreo 48. En la Galería se exhibirá una muestra fotográfica titulada Por el Jaguar en donde los fotógrafos de naturaleza y vida silvestre Verónica Domit, Santiago Gibert Ibsen, Fernando Martínez Velmar y Carlos Navarro nos comparten su obra reciente con la finalidad de cautivar al pueblo con la magnífica belleza de este felino.

El coctel de arte tendrá inicio a las 6 pm con una selección de canapés y bebidas patrocinadas por Mezcal Creyente de la Casa Cuervo.

El Mes del Jaguar es un festival internacional organizado por Panthera México, dedicado a celebrar, educar y promover la cultura del Jaguar en todas sus expresiones. Esta ONG internacional trabaja en la protección de este magnífico felino desde México hasta Argentina a través de la Iniciativa del Corredor Jaguar. Esta iniciativa es el único programa de conservación que busca proteger a los jaguares en toda su área de distribución actual y garantizar la seguridad de estas áreas claves para la supervivencia de la especie lo cual protege indirectamente al ser humano ya que dependemos totalmente de los recursos naturales que nos proporcionan estas áreas.
Ven y déjate cautivar por la belleza y elegancia del jaguar, apoya con tu participación y ayuda a rescatar a los jaguares de México. Los fondos recaudados serán para beneficio de esta ONG y su trabajo en México.
